Breeding Blue German Rams

I have had success breeding my Blue German Rams but I wanted to see how they would do as parents so I set up this 33 gallon, low tech aquarium. The first pair bred in the 1st three days but on day 3 ate the babies. The 2nd pair should be laying soon and I will be watching to see if they do any better.

I will be pulling the eggs from the 1st pair next time they breed and raising them for sale.

Decisions, decisions...

Looking at stock for next week and there are some amazing new fish.

Betta Albimarginata (2") - $180.00/pair
Electric Blue Jack Dempsey (2") - $45.00 each
Rotkeil Green Severum (2" - 3") - $9.00

Let me know if you are interested the order needs to go in asap.

Thanks

Riccia, Bosemani Rainbows and Scarlet Badis

So we got a new shipment of fish in today. The Rainbows chowed down on bloodworms almost immediately, once they settle in they are going to be stunning. They are also much bigger than what I was expecting which is a huge bonus.

The Scarlet Badis are quite small but have started to colour up. They are a peaceful fish that are easy to keep.

I have also got some Riccia for sale. The pieces are about 20 cm across and pearling like crazy. They are going for $10/each

New Tank for the Collection

One of the things I have realized about the Fraser Valley is the lack of really good quality plants. I hope to rectify this. I have purchased a 50 gallon aquarium with CO2, eco complete and some serious light (2 x 96 watt, 6700 and 1 x 96 10,000).

I will be cultivating lots of low light plants but now have the capability to grow the harder, high tech stuff as well. Keep an eye out, this is going to be fun!
