A new year

Well it is a couple of months past where I thought I would have things up and running again but here we are. I would just like people to know a little more about me and MFF. I do this as a hobby - my dad did this as a hobby. I hope my kids take this up as a hobby.

I love to sit with my kids in our fish room and immerse myself in their curiosity of what our little patch of nature entails. "are they playing tag Dad?" or "hey are those little guys babies?" what a great alternative to a TV.

I hope to provide information, support and a relatively inexpensive way into a wonderful hobby.

New Stock impressions

Well we have just received a shipment of new fish and I am impressed with the quality. The bags had up to 180 fish in them and there were no DOAs.

The Chili Rasboras are going to be amazing once they settle in. These guys are fantastic for nano-tanks and can be safely kept with shrimp which is a big bonus.

The Green Fire and Ember Tetras are already colouring up and eating like little pigs.

My Rainbow display tank is looking awesome with the new Irian and Turqouise Rainbows but I will have to get in there soon and do some trimming.

The Albino Longfin Bristlenoses are local and have settled in immediately and are available for pick up anytime.

I may be picking up some additional stock in the middle of the week - looking at Rainbow Snakeheads and some Apisto Steel Blues (dwarf cichlids).

Have a great day!
